MISC questions and suggestions.
Here are my questions and suggestions to Miro:
1.
Is it possible to see the sidebar while playing a video? It would be very useful.
2.
It would be also useful if I can begin to play a video or audio while it is still downloading, and only partially downloaded. It would be useful for seeing long videos, listening to podcasts.
3.
For me it would be also useful if I can listen to podcasts and watch videos without downloading them as a file, only cashing them as a temporary cache for easier navigation into the file. After I have finished with seeing/listening, it is deleted. So, a task based file deletion instead of the time stamp based.
4.
The "add site" feature could look like in Songbird: for example, I add a site, it looks for playable audios on it (Songbird is an audio player), not shows the actual site like in a web browser.
It would also be very useful for seeing a person's full Youtube channel, more than just the lase 20 videos. Is it possible to do that in any way? I think if you want to compete with Youtube, you should integrate it's features to your software very well :)
So, is there any way to add not only a feed, but an actual website with lots of videos on it, and not see it in the website view, but the same way as the feeds, only showing the videos with the possibility to watch and download them?
5.
It is also partly about Youtube: can I see before downloading how long the actual file will be in time stamps?
6.
You can also add a simple feature to "show more information" about the actual video when I hover the mouse pointer over it. Without having to click on "more info". Just like in Youtube, again :)
7.
Be it a BSD style license instead of GPL ;)
These are my thoughts come into my mind while using Miro on how it may be improved.
Thank you guys, keep up the good work!
