Inappropriate? Why do you consider Miro's memory usage a problem?
It's sluggishness is, but that will be mostly gone with v2. -
Inappropriate?Same here, though I'm still using it - 1.2.8 on Windows XP with 1G ram. It is quite slow starting up, munching memory as it goes. it seems to have stabilized between 110M and 120M. It has the largest memory footprint of any program running on this particular system, though if it doesn't grow further or interfere with system performance I might be OK with it. The slow startup time - 20's of seconds - and lack of instant feedback on startup will confuse the other user of this system.
Will v2 address the slow startup and/or memory usage?
Love the program.

Yes, it should. No way to know for sure until you've actually tried it for yourself though.
