Roll Back from RC 2.0?
I have the 2.0 RC version, and it's unusuable on my Windows XP SP3 box. How do I return to the current stable release version without the database version problem?
(Or alternately, how can I get it to play video without the video effects on top of it and later locking up?)

Inappropriate?Unfortunately, if you didn't back up the database, I'm not sure you can roll back — we always suggest backing up the database before using the testing versions, but I understand how annoying it can be to have to do this.
The best thing is to hang on to your current database and submit some bug reports with information about what is happening. Hopefully we can get things fixed and you'll be able to keep your database. -
Inappropriate? Also - can you explain what is unusable - it may be fixed in a more recent nightly build.

Inappropriate?Vrivis, that's been fixed already... you'd need to get the 02-01 nightly for this fixd.

Inappropriate? And there will be another RC coming soon...

Inappropriate?Sorry, I was busy. The new build works, so that was the easiest solution. I did have an old backup...
Yes, of course I should have backed up the database, but I was tired and missed that (from too much OT doing software QA in RL).
Thanks for the help, though it was my own mistake really.
(Now if only any other company would have multiple employee responses in such a short time...)
I’m less stressed out.
