Unrecognised video files / download problem
Using Miro 2.5.2 (under Mac OS 10.6.1), I notice that some (not all) video feeds stopped working properly.
For those feeds, there is no progress bar while it's downloading and the downloaded file won't play, either in Miro, Quicktime player, or VLC -- it's not recognised as a video file.
Example of broken feed: http://www.podshow.com/feeds/hd.xml

Inappropriate?I've been using GlimmerBlocker (http proxy) and it turns out that it blocked too many requests. I don't know yet whether this is enough information to completely solve the problem, but it might be useful to some people.

Inappropriate? There is more to it (and whitelisting certain URLs is not sufficient).
I contacted the GlimmerBlocker feedback address and it turns out that Miro has a known issue with proxies. See <http://bugzilla.pculture.org/show_bug...> and the new comments that have been made (23 sept 2009).
The problem remains open !
I’m frustrated
