Anti-PatternTap ...collect bad examples!
I'm envisioning collections that display the anit/evil/arch-enemies of great design. We've all done it so lets get real.
Some of the best way to learn is to look at what not to do. I think this would take a good site and make it great.
A design is only truly a failure if you never learn from it.

Inappropriate?Interesting thought. Maybe I can get into this in my feature area in the new revision.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?"Only a failure if you never learn from it." -- Well said!
There are more bad designs out there than good it seems. But if they're tagged with "bad" that would be a great way to weed them out of the cream of the crop.
Also, for instance, it could be used to get a consensus of what type of UI pattern is abused and misunderstood or hard to use. It could be an interesting way to bring to the surface the fact that "Hey, there are very few well designed drop-down menu's." I imagine that could provide a lot of valuable inspiration to improve poorly designed UI patterns.
Thanks for listening!
I’m thrilled with this web site

Inappropriate?I agree with the statements above. However, I have a question. Can we enhance this site? What if users rate the samples entered? I see many that I would score as "What not to do"! We can rate the screenshots on different attributes - fonts, color, usability - I think it would help people view or find their inspirational nuggets faster... what do you think?
I’m thankful for this website. I use it very frequently.

I like this idea. It would give a community-tested metric to the designs and not rely on the subjective analysis of one person. Matthew, while it's obvious that you have great design sense (as evidenced by the great design currently on Pattern Tap), it is not the sensibility of everyone. If Pattern Tap is to be a community resource, it should request more community input.
Another idea would be the one I offered here
