Ugly Project Dropdown in widget
The Project dropdown in the widget is awful on the eyes, and hard to navigate. Any possibility of cleaning this up? We usually have 1-2 projects per client, so our dropdown looks zebra striped. would be nice to have an option to not group by client.

Due to the following bugs in Internet Explorer we went back to using only OPTION tag without the OPTGROUP:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933873
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/276228
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Foru...
The indentation of tasks is also gone because of that.
TIP: after the project/task select is focused, use your keyboard to select the desired project/task, i.e. start typing it's name.

Inappropriate?James, you're absolutely right it hurts our eyes too :) our UI guy will check this out and we'll address this very soon.

Looks much better indeed! Any chance we could have an option to hide Retired projects from the list? -
Inappropriate? Thanks, this will be implemented soon.

Inappropriate? All the requests in this thread are implemented in the 3.0.1 version

Inappropriate? It would be nice to have the Clients in the Project drop down to be a different font color than the projects underneath them. Possibly a gray or blue color? It would make it just a little more visually identifiable other than the indentation. I think that's what the original intent was with the zebra striping in 3.0.0, I just think the font color should be different instead of the background of the Client.
Thanks for all the work so far, it is much appreciated! Nice to know that user input is valued. -
Inappropriate? The styling of a select box only works in Firefox,
besides background and font size there is nothing else you can change for a- tag. And we would not like to change the native select box with some kind of wired floating div.
sorry :(

This is in the widget, not the web timer.
Also, adding style="color:blue" or a css class in the option tag in a select works in IE as well as FireFox. We use this functionality in our websites.
Shouldn't the Clients be optgroups anyway? I know if you select the client, it goes to the first project under it, but you really shouldn't be able to select it in the first place, right? -
Inappropriate?Ha, never used this tag ;)
Thanks for the tip, we'll see what we can do about it in the next .3 version

Inappropriate?Implemented now (only in online widget) with optgroup, the only thing i could not accomplish is to remove the italic for optgroup on IE :(

Inappropriate?Pleeeeeease give us an option to NOT group the projects by client. We also have 2-3 projects associated per client at most (mostly only one) and it is an absolute horror to "find" the projects. It takes much more time to find them now than before...
Also, the alphabetic order is still not working, also in the online version for us!
I’m frustrated

I agree. Now that the client is on the project drop down, it really makes it tough to select the correct project when the project:customer ratio is close to 1:1 -
Inappropriate? We will soon have the option not to group projects and tasks in the desktop widgets. Stay tuned :)

Inappropriate?Right now when I launch time tracker from the website in Firefox I have perfect tasks menu (divided by task lists etc)
But when I access the same manu in Paymo Widget (v 3.0.6) there is no way to "open" drop down at all...
I have to use arrows (up/down) to find task of project .
What can be a reason for that?

Inappropriate?can you please send a screenshot, we can not replicate this on our mac.
Also what os and what safari version do you use? -
To whom is this question addressed? I do not use Safari ... I use FF 3.0.11 on windows XP :) -
Btw, I've just found out that I had the same problem with adobe dreamweaver installer ... no way to "open" drop down list :/ -
It was addressed to you. Since you reported problems with selects i concluded you are on a mac because another user reported something similar.
Related to the selects, i suspect that when you try to open the selects they immediately close ( all over the system ). I think that turning on windows update and upgrading to the latest IE build might fix your problem. -
Inappropriate?I found out what was the reason of this problem. Some kind of strange IE8 bug probably. I have automatic updates turned on all the time, I even tried "reset" IE today (there is option like this in IE8) but no success .... I had to reinstall IE8 and now it's working :))
I’m happy
