Can I get a badge for my pbwiki 2.0 that I can place elsewhere, eg on a blog? I've got one for a pbwiki v1 wiki, but I can't find where to get one for v2.
I have a version 2 wiki and inserted a picture into a page. Set ALIGN=LEFT, which worked. BORDER=20 doesn't seem to put any white space around picture VSPACE=20 or HSPACE=20 does'nt work either
I am unable to edit pages in PBwiki 2.0 using Firefox on Mac Leopard. Every time I try it crashes the browser (I get beachballs and can't access any other tabs in FF either etc) and I have to force quit the application.
Can I resend an invitation to a user? A student of mine has not received the e-mail invitation, I would like to resend it. Can I delete her as a user and add her again to see if that will work?
I've been creating pages and assigning them to folders over the past week and everything is peachy. But tonight the assign-to-folder function isn't working.
When I click to assign the page into a folder, it loads a blank page called /folder.php. But then nothing. The page never is assigned to the folder. This was working before. Why not now?
Is there a limit to the number of pages in a folder? This started at 47...
...edit...
OK, some new information. I've done more pages, and new pages are going into the folders correctly. However 7 pages are not. Can't figure out why. The folder they are going into has 50 pages in it now. Here are the seven pages, URLS, which will not folder correctly:
In V1, PBwiki used "edit locks" to prevent simultaneous editing of a page. In V2, however, I am able to log in to IE, Safari and FireFox, and edit the same page, at the same time. Why is this possible? I double-checked, and V1 will not allow this to happen.
Sorry if this is posted twice; but my browser bombed on me last time...
In a prior version of PBW, when I added a new page, a new navigation tab was automatically added to the top of the screen. Is this functionality still available in 2.0? If so, where can I locate it?
On friday last week i sent out about 20 inivtations to my wiki for some of my students.
It seems that most of my students haven't recived the email.
I checked by copying the emaill address from the site and sending it through another email client.
The email address was found find and t the test email sent.
There should be no problems with the servers at my college's end blocking the inivitation, as i have already sent invitations to studetns who have logged in with no problems.
Was there an issue last week?
And is there a way i can sort this without spending another 15 mintues typing in email addresses to the share option at the side? (I am using version 2.0)
There is no invite key or password change option on my wiki. I went to my wiki, http://my-english-writing.pbwiki.com and I wanted to add an invite key or at least change the password for that wiki so it is not my password for all of my account stuff. When I went to my other wikis I went to "settings" and "key/password" options and see ways to change it but I do not see the "key/passwords" option on http://my-english-writing.pbwiki.com. Why is this.
I have started a new wiki for a multi-country academic research project - it ios all very exciting until I try to get my (>10) partenrs to sign up. Two have already written back saying they can't! Here is todays complaint:
Hi Oliver,
I have tried registering myself at the Wiki site. It
gives me a message that my e-mail account is created
but has not been verified. Have tried re-sending the
information, but it does not seem to work. Perhaps I
am not getting it right.
Thus, I have not been able to access the page as yet.
It would be great to have some help with this. Sorry
for the bother.
I want my wiki to be private, with new users (Readers) adding themselves through a process like the following. Is it possible? How? Thanks!
1) Person goes to my website, decides he wants to view my wiki, clicks the link and lands on my pbwiki page, which is Private.
2) Person fills out a little form requesting access, selecting logon and PW or using an existing pbwiki logon and PW. There is also at least one customizable field, and preferably more, where they can pick from lists or checkboxes or write something in text fields, etc.
3) They click submit and it generates an email to me (Admin) or a moderator I designate.
4) We review the request and either approve it, deny it, or request more info (reply).
5) An email is then automatically sent to the prospective reader with the results, such as "you've been approved... you can now access the wiki with your logon and PW.
If this is possible, how is it done and what are the limitations, if any. If it' not possible, is it on the horizon? When?
When I copy and paste in the WYSWIG editor it messes up the text and adds a lot of spurious stylesheet code. Ultimately this messes up the entry significantly.
I am tring to insert css between <style> tags on my new pbwiki 2.0 using the 'source' button but it is just not taking it. I rely heavily on this method on my pbwiki 1.0 sites. I know you have decided to drop custom css plugin available in 1.0 (By the way, remind me where I say this) but surely you are still going to allow user apply css via this method. Surely?
In PBwiki 2.0, the Calendar plugin gets hidden behind the sidebar. If your browser is in full screen (I use Firefox) you get a frame scroll bar which does allow you to slide over and see Friday and Saturday, but then Sunday is hidden. This makes scrolling thru the calendar very difficult. If your monitor size and settings permit, you can make your browser window wide enough, but if not --well that's the problem. This didn't happen in 1.0, where the sidebar did not appear when looking at the calendar.
