Setting up PBWiki on my own domain. Can I do it? Last reply on April 05, 2008 15:34.

I want to set up PBwiki on my own subdomain. Is there a way to do that? In other words, I want to have wiki.mydomain.com the real URL of the wiki, even though it may be set up on mydomain.pbwiki.com. Sorry, I don't know how to do this and need some help!!

Version 2.0: How can I send several invitations at once? Last reply on April 05, 2008 01:44.

I want to share a class wiki with several of my students -- this wiki is in version 2.0. How do I send an invitation to them all at once?

From "Edit wiki settings", "Access controls", "Users", it appears that you can only add users one at a time.

At https://MYVERYOWNWIKI.pbwiki.com/shar..., I see that I can "share" a wiki with several people. Elsewhere in the PBwiki web there has been discussion about first having people create their own account, then joining your wiki.

Now I'm confused, and I'm eager to hear the best way to bring people into the PBwikiworld.

Is there a webinar for PBwiki? Last reply on April 04, 2008 19:46.

I keep seeing references to webinars for PBwiki, but I can't seem to find any other information. Does such a webinar exist? I have figured out the basics, but I'm sure there are many features I'm missing out on.

Arrangement of slideshows Last reply on April 03, 2008 19:23.

How do I get my slideshows to sit side by side on the page? They seem to snap to the left side no matter how I move them. I would like a different arrangement than vertical.

wikis for community groups Last reply on April 03, 2008 15:13.

If my wiki is for a community or non-profit group, what wiki type do I choose when creating a wiki? It's not a business, i'ts not exactly an education wiki, and it's not for one person or family.

Restoring a previously deleted user Last reply on April 03, 2008 04:36.

I created, then deleted, and then recreated a user on my wiki
He shows as a user with editor rights on my wiki settings=users page
When he tries to access my wiki he receives this error message
"You are logged in to your account, but you don't have access to this wiki"
He has only one email address that now appears blocked

No email notifications for private wikis? Last reply on April 02, 2008 19:13.

We no longer receive email notifications whenever a page is changed. I assume it's because (1) our wiki is private and (2) that feature is no longer supported for private wikis in the new version. This is not acceptable to my organization. Can anything be done? Am I missing a new setting?

Private RSS for a 2.0 beta pbwiki Last reply on April 02, 2008 07:20.

Hi ! I am the administrator of a 2.0 beta pwiki dedicated to history searchers working on a specific project (wich is going to last 5 years). This PB wiki is private because informations are confidential.
My problem is that those searchers are not all computer-friendly : the access to the new information published on the wiki has to be easy. RSS can be useful for that but will the wiki stay private ? In other words, is it possible for me to create RSS for the entire wiki but only for the members?
(Another question: I know that this function is not available right now on pbwiki 2.0 beta : is it going to be available?)
    Thanks a lot !

How do you delete information on a calendar? When I try to edit and insert a new calendar,I keep getting my old one! When editing repeating events, they repeat on wrong days, even though I've clicked on the correct options.

Does pbWiki generate valid rss? Last reply on April 01, 2008 17:24.

why can't Pageflakes read the rss feed from pbwiki? I'm trying to bring all the sources for a research project into the one Pageflakes Pagecast. It says that "https://learningprojects.pbwiki.com/rss2.php" is not a valid feed. Or, more precisely:

"The address you have entered does not contain an RSS Feed. Please enter the address of the RSS Feed you wish to add.
    Example: http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories..."

Saving vistor data Last reply on March 30, 2008 15:11.

I would like to be able to save the visitor data beyond just seeing the last ten people to view the page. It would be nice to have a log of everyone who has every looked at the page, and very nice to link that to a map that can be seen on the front page or a linked page. I have people from all over the world looking at my wiki, which is neat, but I only know if I've had a mention in Germany on a blog or something when I get a slew of German visitors. Is there a current way to do this? Is there a plug in I could use?

    Thanks

    Kevin
