I paid extra to have a custom domain. wiki.kookyplan.com rather than kookyplan.pbwiki.com
But, the trouble is....
After I log in with my id and password....it gives me a link to the wiki.kookyplan.com....and if I follow it...I go to the frontPage, but it doesnt remember that I logged in....and asks me to do it again.
Then, if I try to log in from there...TROUBLE...a warning message pops up on IE...telling me that the page name and the page address are not the same...and that I should be careful!!!
I have just created my wiki , and it seems even if i delete blank lines on my front page the right hand scroll bar wont dissapear!
Am i going crazy or have i missed something???
Help!!
I'm creating a directory of collaboration sites for my wiki, and I'd like to insert a ratings widget so that visitors can rate each of the sites/tools that are mentioned. I'm a new PBWiki user, and I can't find a plugin that works, but there are a few sites out there the offer javascript ratings widgets -- are these allowed on PBWiki? If so, how do I install them? If not, are there alternatives?
I'm using the sortable table function in pbwiki 2.0.
Unfortunately, it seems to handle dates (such as 6/3/2008) as a number (632008) so that a date such as 5/30/2008 (5302008) would be listed higher than 6/2/2008. In other words, it just doesn't work for dates, which seems like a pretty basic function.
Is there any workaround or plan to address this issue?
How do I find a sample wiki to evaluate the product? I set up my own personal wiki, but that is not helpful in getting me to understanding what different templates are like, and most importantly, how the search function works, because I only have a few pages which won't approach the complexity of the business wiki I'm considering. There MUST be some dummy samples of private or business wikis that prospective buyers can access, right?
How do I change the background color of a page? When I change it on the editor, it only changes the background behind the text. I want the entire page background to change.
Why are the spaces in document names replaced with "%" when they are downloaded? How do I change this? I am admin on an archiving wiki and this is problematic when other change and reload documents...
I want to use a wiki with multiple users in a class. I do not know their email addresses. I want them to open up a page within the wiki that I have created and edit it.
I do not want them to have to register and then invite them. Is there a quick way of sharing a password between multiple unregistered students? I am using pbwiki 2.0
I have tried to share my private pbwiki 2.0 with someone else. I set him up as a user, but he tells me that he is unable to login. When he clicks the link that was sent to him, he gets this error message:
Oops! We can't recognize the link you clicked on.
To fix this, please cut and paste the full URL from the email into your browser (then press Enter).
He did the copy and paste, but the same error message comes up in the browser. Same result in firefox and safari.
I deleted a user because I added her email address incorrectly. Then I added her. Now I don't see her name in my user list and so I tried to add her again and the page said she is already a user of my wiki. But I can't see her name!?! Is there something I can do to make her show up on my list? Thanks.
I teach journalism at a Florida university and have been experimenting with using a wiki as my class "center."
Until now I've hosted my wiki elsewhere but have been frustrated at a 2mb limit for attachments -- some of mine are about twice that. On the other hand, I'm able to upload as many as 40 files.
I'm not clear on what I can do here on a free site. Is there a size limit for attachments? How many attachments are permitted.
Installed a ToC under PB 1.0. When I changed to Beta (2.0) my ToC stopped working past the first entry. Where before I would get a ToC like this:
Company Name: Business Continuity Plan - College Park
Section 1: TEAM MEMBERS
Section 2: TASKS
Section 3: CRITICAL RESOURCES AND REQUIREMENTs
Section 4: REQUIRED APPLICATIONS
Now I only get this:
Company Name: Business Continuity Plan - College Park
I am very comfortable in code view (prefer it), so please don't hesitate to send me HTML tweaks. I am glad to do it manually.
I have just created a v2.0 pbwiki to which I'd like to invite a number of people. I just tested out the 'add user' function and was surprised that there was no option to send a personalised message. When I saw the email that does get sent out I was even more surprised as it is entirely inappropriate and, I fear, likely to get junked as spam by busy people who are quickly scanning their inbox.
Is there any option to personalise the invite and add a few lines about what the wiki is about and why the person is being invited?
Thanks
