Can I please change the default to NOT notify new members of updates???
I want to give my members the freedom to participate but I don't want to spam them!!! I have had to send many apologies to people that I really didn't want to send unsolicited emails to.
I want to make in a private wiki a folder public.
When I make the folder public in Folder settings/security I get the message "access dinied"
My account is Wiki owner.
I use the beta wiki version
I invite people to visit my wiki, but only rarely do I get to know the names of the people who have taken me up on the invitation. How can I get that information? Am I doing something wrong when I invite using just their e-mail account?
I am using the 2.0 beta and am trying to create an e-mail link. It fails in both IE and Firefox. Examining the details for the error in IE I get the following info:
Line:755
Char: 1
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
URL: http://10anniversario.pbwiki.com/FCKe...
I am an educator. Today was the first time I took my students to the class wiki. While this makes perfect sense I was surprised and disappointed that only one student could edit the class wiki at one time. I know it sounds crazy, but is it possible for two or more people to be working on a wiki page at one time?
My idea to share is that it might be a great idea to create a space for only educators and their unique perspectives, questions and answers.
Using SeaMonkey I cannot see the YackChat button on the sidebar, even though it said it created it. Do I HAVE to use IE?
I use the SeaMonkey (netscape/mozilla suite successor) and cannot see the YackChat button. not in pbwiki 1.0 or 2.0, although in 1.0 it showed the first day I put it in. Now it does not. It's supposed to be in the sidebar. Could put it on the front page if it's not supposed to be put there. I'll check Internet Explorer to see if it shows.
Hi there, there are a many things I want to ask, so I'll ask them quicly :P ...
1o Is there any way of changin the background of the pbwiki page?? I tried with normal <html> code, but nothing worked :S
2o The same things with Tables, their borders some how don't get invisible
3o with you sidebar, can you make it apper on the left instend of the right?? (I tried the code people gives, but got nothing out of it)
4oAlso, I would really like to know how do I get to make the sidebat always be on the "sidebar option" (some of the people who logged in told me that they had problems navegating, and that was beacause they didn't knew they have to put the sidebar into the "sidebar option instend of the "quick start" option
well, I think those are most of the questions... before hand, thank you very much :P</html>
I want to provide a web page where I will list hyperlink titles and hyperlinks going down the page. The hyperlinks guide my students to watch multimedia presentations that I have on my personal web site. I'm trying to use date logic so that only the text and hyperlinks that cover Week 1 appear during week 1, and then as our class moves into Week 2, new text and related hyperlinks will show up as well.
I currently do this in Excel by using an IF function with the hyperlink function (i.e., if the current date is <= preestablished date, then show them the hyperlink, otherwise display a blank cell).
Is it possible to create a wiki where content is static but users can enter text-specific references? I would like users to be able to cross-reference the pages within my wiki but not change any of the text available on them.
Within a table, I click in the cell where the link should be located and attach/link the file, it always adds the link to the FOLLOWING cell. The only way I've been able to make it go to the right location is to right arrow over from the previous cell, THEN attach the file. This won't work well for collaboration, as folks will get frustrated and/or not understand how to do this.
How do I remove the edit link in my SideBar ? When I open the SideBar page for editing, I don't see any additional code (http://goodos.pbwiki.com/SideBar?edit=1) on the page, but after I save the SideBar page, it shows up with an edit link. It looks like PBwiki is automatically adding this link. How do I tell it to stop?
For an example see:

Thanks,
Dave
How do I get text and/or images to fill the whole space -I want some text on the left and a picture on the side; or I want some text on the left side and something different on the right - like columns or a table? I just don't understand how to do that!
On this page ( http://moksa-university.pbwiki.com/Ne... ) in my Wiki, the "Full Userinfo" link only STAYS a link if I use the classic editor. Whenever I used the point and click editor, whichever link is second last winds up losing its hyperlink. While I'm editing the page the link is there and displays fine, but as soon as I save it disappears. Switching the link around just made whatever new link was second-last turn into plain text. I tried turning off the bullets and a number of other formattings, but the second-last link continued to stay plain text until I switched to classic editor.
Obviously this can be gotten around, but I think it's a rather glaring problem for the p&c editor to not be saving your page the way you edit it when it comes to links.
