Automated Page Generation Utility Last reply on May 15, 2008 02:31.

on elothtes, I've created a tool for us to keep track of broken links and info harvested from the wiki.

    http://elothtes.pbwiki.com/Mindless-Otto

The tool can be used with any wiki, in case there is any interest.
I've also got a tool that will generate a wiki from a backup zip, but I'm giving the folks at pbwiki time to see if there are any server performance concerns with this script before I distribute it.

Source in C# is available for this as well for anybody who is interested...

Hey everyone! The support staff has been working on a documentation manual for PBwiki 2.0, and it's ready now. Check it out at newfaq20.pbwiki.com.

This document will grow as the product grows. If you see something it's missing, just let us know and we'll add it in.

    Thanks!

pbwiki Auto Update Program Last reply on May 13, 2008 14:22.

I wrote a little program that automatically updates a wiki by synchronizing it with files on your computer. You tell the program which directories you want to upload and then the program uploads all the files in that directory, and creates (or updates) a wiki page with the same name as the directory with links to all the files.

This is useful to me because I want to keep some Word and Excel files updated on the wiki, but I don't like having to go through the extra step of uploading them each time I make a small change.

Limitations: v1.0 developer API enabled pbwikis only.

It is really hacked together, so there are probably lots of bugs, but it seems to work for me okay. If you are a perl programmer, I would be happy for any help or improvements.

You can download the program at: http://fredwiki2.pbwiki.com/pbwiki+Au...

Offline reading and editing (Google Gears?) Last reply on March 12, 2008 17:02.

Is there any way to read & update your wiki offline and have it resync when you are next online?

I am looking for a solution for taking notes that will be available wherever I am with my laptop, but also available on my desktop PC. Maybe Google Gears would be able to make this work? (I haven't looked at the API so it was only an idea).

Can we have a way to "save and continue editing" pages, so that we aren't forced to leave editing mode every time we want to save our work? Last reply on March 27, 2008 18:25.

Being forced to go directly to the page each time I want to save is a productivity killer, as opposed to having a "save and continue" or splitting the save into "save" and "save and exit" buttons. Please give us a way to save our work without leaving editing mode.
