Why isn't PBwiki saving my format? I edit my page to have a single space between paragraphs and remove the links so they are in text form, and when I save it and look at it, there are approximately three spaces between paragraphs, new paragraphs have been formed, a space is missing between HarvardUniversity, and my links are still hyper links.

Want to apply a font style with a single keystroke BLUE-UNDERLINE-BOLD or HIGHLIGHTED - is there a way to do this.

It seems too many mouse clicks are required for adding styles or formatting to text. Is there a way to add a sort of dynamic style shortcut key or any other programs that work with PBWiki that can format text I've selected in text or text in tables?

Hey there! I've found that a couple of times, the visual editor in my pbwiki sites (both 1.0 and 2.0) get "sticky". I won't be able to change the formatting-- for instance, if lines are running into each other but should be spaced as paragraphs, and I make that change in the visual editor, those changes will be ignored once I save.

I've tried cutting the text and working on it in WordPad, inserting the paragraph tags manually and at different points, trying to delete the text and re-format everything. But it really is as if the text is sticky and won't "take" my edits. I'm guessing it might have something to do with the way span tags work... maybe?

Any suggestions on how to get the text to display correctly? Thanks so much!

I have lost the formatting on both my wikis: I just get a list of text when I log in to each wiki, with no side bar, or links or anything.

When I copy and paste a Word document, the font and formatting are not retained. Is there some way I can keep the document looking like the original?

You can copy stuff from web pages and word processors.

You can paste it into a wiki page, but you won't always get what you expect.

Sometimes, the page won't even display everything you pasted in.

I'm having a tough time finding a way to format the text of my wiki. I can change fonts and text size. However, I'm having two issues that have been driving me crazy:

1) When I change text size, color, etc., it doesn't always work. Sometimes, the text is magically resistant to whatever I want to change, and I have to leave it looking funky. This is okay temporarily, but in the long run, I really need to be able to format my text.

2) Usually, when I copy and paste text from Microsoft word, the double spacing stays in tact, and I have an easy-to-read format on the Wiki. However, every so often, the text will copy and paste in tiny, single-spaced lines, very unfriendly for reading. I can't figure out, however, how to format text into double-spaced lines. Am I missed an option, or does it not exist?

I have over 80 pages of text that I'm trying to copy and paste -- so not having this option is quite a problem for me, as I don't want to re-type everything.

When I paste text in the page editor from emails or Frontpage, using either the "source" tag or the "html" productivity plugin, the resulting text is reformatted. The fonts, highlighting, text size all change and sometimes text is moved from one place to another in the document.

Is there another way to accomplish this other than re-keying the text?
