We use a lot of tables for our pages, and we need the pdf functionality to create documents for people that we don't want looking at our the wiki. Unfortunately, the pdf that is created has a lot of misaligned cells with data in the wrong places. It's ugly...real ugly. Help!
I have two problems: the calendar plugin won't load. It says something about not having 30 boxes... And I've created a slide show but once I paste the URL code and select 'Finish', nothing happens--the window doesn't disappear. Help!
Hello there; I am using the Metal Sunset theme and cannot get my tables to show with a border; I have a feeling they might simply be blending into the background. Does anyone know how I might go about changing the border colour for the tables? Many thanks.
Big problem! I have to login to a wiki for my class and it won't let me because I don't know the class's password/login key (it was never provided and I never had to actually login before)... I tried contacting my teacher (the administrator of the page), but she is not responding. I don't know what else to do and I have a homework assignment (which I desperately need to turn in for credit) by tomorrow morning! Does anyone have any ideas? (I already submitted a help ticket, but I doubt they'll get back to me in time.) Thanks!
Why my PBwiki tells me that my email does not belong to the owner of it?
When I send an email to the owner I receive it in my email account!
My PBwiki Account says: You don't have access to any wikis yet and iI cannot add it because I neither know the invite key or password to it.
I created digitalvidea.pbwiki.com in 2007.
we have put an xls file up and have been notified that "the site suggests that the file be handled as an attachment, and even suggests a hame for the file: aplacetocallhome.pbwiki.com/f/masterREOCAD.xls
Hi - I made a number of edits to a page in my wiki yesterday, including copying/pasting a table from a webpage into the wiki. I added additional content on the page following the table. After each Save the formatting all appeared fine.
Today the page is corrupted - the 'Wiki Information' and 'Recent PBWiki Blog Posts' sections that normally appear in each wiki page footer are appearing in the body of the table I copied in, and all of the text in the table and everything that followed it on the page has disappeared. I've managed to get to the history for the page, but all of the earlier revisions are corrupted in the same way. Is there any way I can correct this and retrieve my work? All help appreciated!
Right here's the thing. I'm tired of waiting for the custom HTML tool to come on line so I have been doing a bit of hacking. Please forgive me Pbwiki. :-) In pbwiki 1.0 you were able to put some script/css in the sidebar and it could be applied to all pages. I don't know if it is deliberate but something is stopping me doing that in 2.0. A simple example. Lets say I wanted to put a link to Google in my sidebar but I wanted to position beside the edit button on every page. I would have to do a bit of css wizardry!! I can give the google link a class id = googlelink (Google) and I can upload a css file containing the following styling:
Then back in my sidebar I can refer to this css file by using the google gadget plugin and hey presto in works.........in the sidebar at least. If I go to my front page, the link appears in the position I designated but then disappears. It seems that the css (or something) on pages other than the sidebar supersedes my styling and the link disappears. I accept this might be difficult to visualise without seeing so if anyone can help then I am happy to allow them access to my wiki.
Here is my problem - I'm not exactly sure what my problem is, but this is what has happened. I'm trying to get a group of stressed out elementary teachers to easily log in to my pbwiki. However, they initially deleted their email thinking it was spam. Then I deleted them as users, put them in again under a different school email address. Now, there are about 7 people who can not log in.
I've tried helping them. We've tried every way we know how. I've added them as writers and they show up on my administrator page of users, but they can't log in. Do you have a way to fix this? Or can I call someone and have you talk me through it? Thanks for your help. If I don't get them 'hooked' soon, I'm afraid I'll lose them completely with summer quickly approaching. As one of you said on the webinar, I don't want this to end up as a dead wiki. Thanks, agam
I don't want to have extra spaces between lines when I print out pages -- or more precisely, I want the wiki entries I print to look how they do in the web browser. ... Even when I do the "print version" button, additional spaces magically appear, especially around bullets...
Finally, I would like to be able to save wiki entries as Word docs or PDFs, if possible, and I would like to be able to copy and paste a word document into a wiki entry without losing the formatting.
I am trying to get a business on board to use the wiki, but these are some of the issues that bring about a lot of resistance.
I created my own wiki link, edited, and saved it. My link to the page appears on the sidebar, but when I click on it nothing comes up. What do I need to do to make my page able to come up?
