Why my PBwiki tells me that my email does not belong to the owner of it?
When I send an email to the owner I receive it in my email account!
My PBwiki Account says: You don't have access to any wikis yet and iI cannot add it because I neither know the invite key or password to it.
I created digitalvidea.pbwiki.com in 2007.
i figure if I post here & submit a ticket, I'll have better luck, as I need an answer fast.
I upgraded to v2.0 tonite and am immediately regretting it. Here's what happened:
I upgraded. I then added the email addresses of the previous users. In v1.0, we all used an Invite Key, or whatever they were called, and folks didn't have individual passwords. This was incredibly nice, and I miss it already.
When I added the user email addresses, it included my secondary email address (my test account). At my secondary email account, I received an invite to join. Odd, since I was already a member during v1.0.
I followed the link, where it asked for my password. I entered the Invite Key from 1.0. No dice. I tried everything I could think of - but I was unable to log into the wiki even though I was a member with that email address in v1.0.
I don't have the most technically apt users. It took forever to get them comfortable with the wiki. If they can't log in come morning, they'll run away from the wiki again.
I created a private wiki this weekend, and emailed invites to a dozen coworkers.
none of them can get into the wiki, and now that I logged out I cannot log back in either!
I filled out the Contact Wiki Owner form and sent a resuest, and the request reached me, so I am clearly the Owner of the wiki. Feeling dumb tho. Please help!
I received an email invite to join a pbwiki. But it didn't have the invite key in the email. How do I login to that wiki later without using the link in the email?
Is the Twitter Wiki open to user editing? If not, where does one send suggestions/corrections? I can't sign in (as I don't have an invite key) and that means I can't edit this.
How do I change the password on my wiki? I am the owner of a premium wiki, which was created a long time ago, so I think it is a version 1.0 wiki. I want to change my own administrator password, not a password for other people to use.
What is the 'Change Invite Key' that shows up on the Settings > Keys and Access screen? I don't want to invite anyone to be able to edit my wiki.
It doesn't seem to be letting me into my own wiki (usflibref.pbwiki.com), and I've tried to e-mail myself the key. But I'm not receiving one. What can I try next?
Although I'm logged into my PBwiki account, to edit the BarCampSanAntonio page, I'm being asked for an invite key. I don't have an invite key.
I am also unable to "join" the wiki from my profile, it says "BarCampSanAntonio" doesn't exist when I conduct a search for it. However, I was able to join the main "BarCamp" wiki that seems to hold the BarCampSanAntonio page. Not sure what's going on here, but it's really frustrating not being able to sign up for an event I want to attend!
I have a bunch of low level computer users so I wanted to make the Wiki as easy as possible. The Wiki is private. My wiki invite key is blank so far. I sent everyone concerned a manual invitation. Then in a test, I was able to get into the site and edit a page without identifying myself. I was notified that "someone" made a change. What's up with that? If I'm not on the list it shouldn't let me in right?
