I've created a Wiki and I'd like to assign pages to subject matter experts so they can maintain individual pages. How do I do this in the PBWiki system so that the page owner will get an email notification when their page has been changed?
We have had staff sign up for e-mail notifications, but many find the e-mails very confusing. With all the cross-throughs and editing it is sometimes difficult to read. We have also had a few people that do not want others to view certain edits (for example, when a mistake was made, and they just want to correct it without sharing the mistake with the world.) What we really would like is to just get a notification that changes have been made to a page, with a link to that page.
Any possibility of having a choice when selecting e-mail notifications? You could pick either "Show editing" or "Link to changed page(s)."
Within pbwiki 2.0, is it possible to set up notifications on a page basis? For example, some users might only want to be notified when certain pages are changed, rather than when any page within the entire wiki is changed.
Under the "Notifications" option in Settings, I had turned off Notifications ("Stop Notifications") for everyone on the team because I was worried that I'd be filling up everyone's inboxes with every change I make. I thought I would be able to turn it back on when I create a page that I want everyone to know of, but I can't seem to figure out how to. I would like to reset this notification function to "ON" for everyone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Why aren't I getting e-mail notifications when any of my wiki's are edited? I've checked and double checked that my email address is correct and working, and that I'm set up to receive notifications a "maximum of 1 email every 1 second". This is a new problem, I've always gotten an e-mail when a wiki page was edited up until this week. Now, nothing.
We no longer receive email notifications whenever a page is changed. I assume it's because (1) our wiki is private and (2) that feature is no longer supported for private wikis in the new version. This is not acceptable to my organization. Can anything be done? Am I missing a new setting?
Can I please change the default to NOT notify new members of updates???
I want to give my members the freedom to participate but I don't want to spam them!!! I have had to send many apologies to people that I really didn't want to send unsolicited emails to.
I get notifications for JellyNYC so that I know when a new event is coming up in my area. I don't need to see notifications for events in Austin or India, especially given that I get one every time someone adds their name to an event. It would be great to only get notifications of new pages, or only notifications of new pages with "NYC" in the name, and then subscribe just to notifications of edits on those pages.
I'd like to get e-mail notifications when my page is updated. Can you tell me how to do this? If I decide I want to stop getting notifications can you do this too?
I receive three email notifications for every change. One is to a different email address, which I might understand, but two are to the same address.
I also can't get rid of them. I logged into my.pbwiki.com, and when I turn off notifications, I stop getting all three. When I turn notifications back on, I start getting all three again, not just the one email address that is associated with my identity.
