security assurances for a gov't agency

I work for a gov't agency that is interested in sharing. What assurances, if any, can I make to them that this is safe from hackers.

What do you folks do with my email address? Am I going to get 84,000 emails from you every day? Are you going to raise funds by selling my information? What about my wiki? Could someone sneakily gain access to my private wiki?
