The table of contents plug-in is auto-numbering the headings. Why would it do that? I already have numbering in the document, now it's really confusing, and looks pretty stupid. How can I remove the auto-numbering?
can I add a second sidebar (on the left side) with a Table Of Contents in it? Will that table of contents be unique to each page? (my site is: kookyplan.pbwiki.com). Thanks.
(im not sure if Im using PBWiki 2.0 or 1.0...sorry, (help)
I am having trouble with applying a "toc" Table of Contents to a word doc that was cut n' pasted into pbwiki. I then re-formatted the headers (it is employee handbook) to match what was requred. No result. Can you help please? What do I need to do to make this work since it is such a cool solution.
So I have a a page with a table of contents that has some repeated headers in it. The formatting is something like this:
1. Apples
a. Price
b. Availability
c. Taste
2. Oranges
a. Price
b. Availability
c. Taste
3. Conclusions
a. Apples
b. Oranges
Now my problem is, when you click on one of the subheadings under the "oranges" section (e.g. 2b), the page links to the same subheading in the apples section (i.e. 1b). When you click on the "apples" subheading under the conclusions section (section 3a), the page links to the first apples section (section 1). The problem seems to be because they all share the same anchor name, so the first one on the page is what everything defaults to. Am I doing something wrong here?
my table of contents doesn't contain all of my headings. I have a page in my wiki that has 6 headings (all in Heading format and separated by a line) but only three will show up in the table of contents for that page. what am I doing wrong??
I use the Heading 1 format for the title of the page. I would like to include a table of contents that includes only instances of Heading 2. (I.E., I don't want the title of the page to show up in the table of contents.) I know the TOC plugin allows me to customize how deep the TOC goes (i.e., one level, two levels, etc.). Is there any way to *just* show level two, and omit level one?
