pbwiki can't handle "%" in urls Last reply on April 30, 2008 23:43.

Whenever I put a URL with percent symbols in the text of a wiki page, the automatic links replace the percent symbols with plus signs. The URL appears correct in the wiki page, but if you click on the link, it tries to go to the wrong address.
    Example:
    Text says "http://www.pbwiki.com/mysite%tomorrow%schedule"
Link actually directs the browser to "http://www.pbwiki.com/mysite+tomorrow+schedule"

I'm trying to link to content that I do not control, so I can't change the URLs unless I use tinyurl, which I will have to since at present all of my links are broken. Is there a way to fix this bug?

How do I make links or URLs? (Point & Click Editor) Last reply on February 07, 2008 05:04.

How do I link to a wikipage?

    Click “Link” in the toolbar.

Make sure “WikiPage” is selected in the “Page Type” dropdown menu.

In the “Link to wiki page” dropdown menu, select the name of an existing page, in this case "WhatWikiIs".

In “Link Text” you can type the wording of the link you would like to use to link to the page. If you highlighted a word on the page before you clicked the “Link” button, that word will already be in this field.

    Click "OK".

How do I link to another website or URL?

Highlight a word or URL that you wish to use as the link.

Click the “Link” button in the toolbar.

In the “Page Type” dropdown menu select “URL”
Choose the proper protocol (http://, news://, etc).

In “Link Text” type the wording of the link that you would like to use to link to the page. If you highlighted a word on the page before you clicked the “Link” button, that should be in this field.

    Click “OK”

Note: If you don’t highlight a word before clicking “Link”, the editor will insert the entire web address into the page as the link, as shown below.
