Inappropriate? Is this v1.x or the new v2? Are you using a free wiki or one of the premium configurations? What age is using the wiki? (which pertains to the issue of hacking...)
-
Inappropriate?I wonder if this is a comment-specific bug. Do their names show up when they make edits? Check the Recent Activity tab on your SideBar to see.

Inappropriate? It's happening just with comments...can I fix this?
-
Inappropriate? We'd love to help you with this - can you tell us which version of PBwiki you're using?
I’m confident

Inappropriate? This issue is occurring with a 1.0 wiki.
-
Inappropriate?I've just logged in to a 1.0 wiki with a PBwiki Account and the comments worked as expected. If you log in without an account, then the anonymous message will still show up, I believe.
Could that be what is happening here?

Inappropriate? If students are logging in with their names and invite key, why wouldn't that work for the comments?
-
Inappropriate? We're still looking in to this - can you make sure that each student has their name properly entered into their PBwiki Account profile? To check for this, have your students go to my.pbwiki.com and login with their email address and password. From there, they should verify that their name (and any other information they wish to share) is up to date.

Inappropriate? These students do not have PBwiki Accounts. They are logging in with their name, e-mail address, and the wiki invite key.

Inappropriate?I tried to replicate this and I really can't. It's probably not a browser issue, but just to be sure, what browser are these students using. There's only one way I could get the same results when I tried: by deleting all cookies and then re-entering the wiki with the Magic URL.
Hm. That's a possibility. What are the cookie settings in the browsers on the computers where this is happening? (in IE, it's the Security setting) -
Inappropriate?Yeah so what's up with this. I'm an admin on a a v.1 I think. The recent visitors drop bar has my email on it. When I go to write the comment my admin logo and email are in the neighboring table cell but when I click "add comment", the comment appears from anonymous. I'm working in Firefox 2+ and I have both the invite key and my password loaded into the save password function of the browser.
I’m worn out
-
Inappropriate? Are you using a PBwiki Account or logging in with an invite key?
-
Inappropriate?PBWiki pssword. Not invite key. I logged out. I went back to browser options and took the invite key out of my password file just to make sure it didn't reload. Logged in again. Wrote comment. Boom-anonymous.

Inappropriate? Here's something else I'd like you to try for me if you have a chance:
Log out of your PBwiki Account using the little Account "Log Out" tab in the upper right of your wiki (not the wiki "Log Out" link). Go back to the wiki without logging into your account. Does the wiki show a "Log Out" link or a "Log In" link? If it's showing a "Log Out" link, then it's still reading sessions from your Invite Key login, so click it to log out of that session as well. Then log in with the Account only and see if you still have the anonymous problem.
I'm so sorry for the trouble!
