Can I customize a table of contents plugin so that it omits "heading 1" and only shows "heading 2"?
I use the Heading 1 format for the title of the page. I would like to include a table of contents that includes only instances of Heading 2. (I.E., I don't want the title of the page to show up in the table of contents.) I know the TOC plugin allows me to customize how deep the TOC goes (i.e., one level, two levels, etc.). Is there any way to *just* show level two, and omit level one?

Inappropriate?Gad,
As far as I know, there isn't a way to configure the Table Of Contents plugin the way you want to.
Have you tried changing the Heading 1 sections to "Normal" then setting them to "Bold" with a "Large" font size? I know it's sort of a hack but it does sort of solve your issue...
I’m sorry

Inappropriate?I'd like to do something like this too. It would be very useful to be able to control what shows up in the page table of contents. It would be useful to have an opening section, and then beneath that, a table of contents.

Inappropriate?I'd like to know if the TOC can be configured to show without numbering, e.g. 1., a., etc. It looks funny if you have your own numbering in the headings. I think the default should be not to add the numbering.
