Can't get named anchors to work.
I can't link to anything within a page. I know the correct code which is with the corresponding link being .
Everytime I type in the to position the named anchor, then save. I go back in to the code and it is gone!
Does Pbwiki not allow linking to named anchors within a page??

Inappropriate?Name anchors worked for me...sorta. I can get it to link to the correct spot, but where the anchor tag is, the words are underlined as if it were a link.
I’m unhappy

Inappropriate? The 19 paid staffers have apparently taken the day off. If you post a link to the page, I'll be glad to have a look at it for you. I know for a fact that anchors work in PBwiki pages, so it may just be that the P&C editor has mangled your code.
I’m the only one here?

Inappropriate?I actually figured out why it wasn't working by searching google and finding a forum post from 2006. Apparently you cannot link text located in a table. Boo pbwiki! Fix that!
Once I got rid of the table, the anchors worked just fine using manual HTML.
I’m annoyed.

Inappropriate?Bultech, I see you were able to use the named anchor in a table by using the whole URL in the a href rather than just using the #vga, which is how I always did it.
I'll try to see if I can do it the way you did since I really liked using a table. -
Inappropriate?Oh, I see. Just place the text outside the anchor, like this:
<a name="vga"></a><strong>VGA Cable</strong>
You'll get the same effect, but the text won't be a link anymore. -
Inappropriate?I did it how Bultech did it so that the text in the table included the full URL rather than just the named anchor and it linked it.
basically it looked like this:
a href="http://citadelbizresearchguide.pbwiki.com/PageName#AnchorName">Link Name< > of course. I don't know how to type html code so that actual code shows up. -
Inappropriate? Are you inserting the anchors directly into the source or using an HTML plugin. I typically use the plugin myself when I do anchors, as it lets me edit anchors quickly without switching into source mode everytime, and it keeps them from getting mangled.
