Certificate problem in Firefox 3
After using my home banking system, the my.pbwiki page (which I have set as homepage) all of a sudden told me:
"my.pbwiki.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)"
Any ideas on how to solve this?
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?Odd. I'm unable to reproduce this. We've been testing for weeks with Firefox3 release candidates and using the 3.0 final release, https://my.pbwiki.com/ seems to load fine. Equifax Secure Global eBusiness CA-1 is the issuer; do you have your security set to non-standard or have you changed the list of root certificates in your repository?

Am getting a similar problem:
Secure Connection Failed
www.amazon.co.uk uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate expired on 12/02/2008 23:59.
(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)
Not just on amazon, but on a ton of sites e.g. humyo.com, 123-reg.co.uk. Should I have to make exceptions for 50% of the sites I visit? Running Windows Xp and had no probs with FF2. Hope you can help as with a web browser, I'd like to be able to browse the web.
Thanks

and now images are not being shown!!...if I revenrrt to FF2, will i lose my favourites? can I turn off the addresss bar suggestions? nice feature, but i'd like to be the one to choose whether or not i have it on otherwise, it's just a pop-up. -
Inappropriate? Not really. I installed the last release candidate, which is the same as the final v3. I think the problem is with the Estonian state PKI. More info on this thread: http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_...
Cleaning out all personal info in FF solved it, but I'm not sure what will happen next time I use my Internet bank. Note that I use that one with an electronic ID card - so I am sending certificates along myself (for identification and signature) through a java applet. -
Inappropriate?Interesting. It sounds like something may have gotten wonky with your key store. I'm glad flushing your private data fixed this, and I'll make sure that our support team knows to recommend this if other people face this same issue.

Inappropriate?Try following
Locate firefox.js
For portable version look at ..\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\defaults\pref
Find section
// Controls behavior of the "Add Exception" dialog launched from SSL error pages
change
pref("browser.ssl_override_behavior", 1)
to
pref("browser.ssl_override_behavior", 2)
Now when visiting "incorrect" SSL site you should get clickable message at the bottom of warning window
Or you can add an exception...
Click on it and you can add this SSL certificate to FF3 -
Inappropriate?drk
I make those changes but it not seems to work, get stil:
error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain
Any Idea to solve this?
It is real bad that it is not standaard in this version that you can choose to exept this SSL Cert. or not like it is in IE7 -
Inappropriate? In the meantime I solved the problems.....the only way it working out is to remove (rename) personal info in Firefox (documents and settings) and do a comple reinstall. (you can use the Firefox addons (or even Mozilla backup tool) for your bookmarks & passw file to reinstall do this before you remove your old Firefox version, you need those files for import again.
