Thanks Casey!

Okay, I'll be wide-open honest here - I'd really like to see PBWiki2.0 become the better "google sites". I read about jotspot maybe a year ago and I said, here is what I really need! But by then the jotspot page already said they'd been acquired by google and at the time I thought that was a really good thing. So I've been signed-up to receive alerts from what used to be jotspot ever since. When I got the announcement mail that jotspot was now re-opened as google sites, I practically fell out of my chair with excitement!

But you can't imagine my disappointment over how Google chose to implement signing-up for google sites. Why the h*ll couldn't I participate in all that web2.0 goodness, just because I didn't have my own domain?

Then I got pbwiki's invitation mail to join the 2.0 beta. It was like a brilliant shaft of light from the heavens, onto a dark and despairing earth! Sorry for being over-dramatic!

So, if it's okay with pbwiki, I'd like to start a new topic here talking about "pre-fabricated page types" for pbwiki 2.0, which is what really caught my fancy about jotspot.

By the way, you guys ROCK! Keep up the great work!

I don't think so. We just released our beta to the public (8:30pm-ish PST? Not very long ago at all!) and we'll be working on getting more information out there soon. Feel free to start some conversations here, I know I've been holding in all the things I've been wanting to talk about, but I'm excited to hear what everyone else thinks of it.

My verdict = < 3

I'm sure we'll be blogging about 2.0 more, and I wouldn't be surprised at what else shows up. Now, a detailed roadmap might not be in the future (we have to keep improving our product, yes? Of course!), but I'm sure we'll talk about upcoming features before they're released (and I know we have some really awesome ones! Cross my heart), and hearing feedback like yours helps us modify and grow PBwiki. That way, it's not just what we think is cool and awesome, it's what you think is cool and awesome too.

Thanks Paul! I have in fact been using the feedback link and the PBWiki Team is quick to answer, but I'm looking more for a place where I can see what other users are saying, what the development roadmap looks like, and that sort of stuff. Am I asking for too much?
