e-mail invitation text
Anyway I can modify the text??
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Sure, you can modify the outgoing invite text.
To edit the invite message, go to any page on your wiki and click "Share this wiki" from the middle box at the bottom of your page. It will take you to https://YOURWIKINAME.pbwiki.com/share..., which will let you edit the outgoing message.
We'll simplify this in an upcoming release.

Inappropriate?Out of curiosity, what's not appropriate about the outgoing text? What would you rather have it say?

Inappropriate?Ramit,
I also have the same issue. I think what the inquirer was referring to was the relative informality of the invitation. "Check this out..." is something one might send to friends but not necessarily to colleagues. In addition, we might prefer to add other relevant information about what the recipient is receiving the mail, etc.
In the end the invitation-with-key process is not very useful to me, since apparently providing someone with contributor access this way, means (I think I'm right on this) that one never knows which one of the key holders might have edited a page. But if one wanted to send an invitation based on the user having a PB Wiki Account (which I believe will identify the user who changes a wiki page, then 1) there is no way to upload/cut-paste a large number of e-mail addresses nor 2) is there a way that I can see to modify the e-mail invitation the PB wiki sends out when using this method.

Inappropriate?Got it. This helps.
We'll be releasing improved ways to invite mass numbers of users in upcoming releases. But this really helps to understand the concerns here.
Thanks, Stevo. -
Inappropriate? Thanks, Stevo! That is exactly what I meant!!!
[I'm just a slug who never got around to replying (bad and wrong), and now has another piece of evidence to support the theory that someone else will do it eventually.] -
Inappropriate?Does this share page work for the 2.0 wikis?
