Epals accounts see the wiki invites as SPAM?...or is the bug that was found two hours ago still out there?
I added a bunch of writers from EPALS ACCOUNTS. I took away most filters and I still can't get PBWIKI to send a password change email to the students in my accounts. They never got the invitations either. Is this a bug or is it an EPALS problem? Thanks.

Hi JC,
I'm sorry for the email blockage. I can assure you that we do everything we can to make sure that we keep our noses clean so that email servers don't block us.
However, I would guess that many wikis and blogs on the net would be blocked by an email service designed to protect K-12 students. After all, we do not limit what people here at PBwiki can post in their wikis. That means it may not be safe according to ePals standards.
There is one statement at ePals that gives me hope that we might get unblocked.

ePals is safe and protected. It is managed by teachers and administrators. All interactions are policy managed by school districts and teachers, including emails, blogs, and forums, and can be monitored and filtered according to any standard. And ePals blocks SPAM, pornography, and curse words.
As a member of ePals, you have the power to ask them to unblock us. Please do so in their forums.

If you are interested, there may be other methods that you can use to add students to a wiki. For example, you might be able to use the older 1.0 version of PBwiki. It would allow you and your students to enter a wiki by using a password.
See this page for more info on that issue.
