google gadget on 2 web pages thinks it's the same gadget!
I loaded 'My notes' google gadget onto one of my wiki 1.0 web pages. After much, much trials I finally got it to remember what I had typed in! So I loaded another one on a different web page.
To my sorrow, it remembers what I typed in the note on the other page!! What to do?? I want 2 separate "my notes"
To get my notes to save my notes I had to accept cookies from the designer.

Inappropriate?Hi Sara,
I'd love to help with this problem, but there are hundreds of Google Gadgets. We do support the use of the Gadgets, but we can't debug them for you. I hope you understand.
I can only recommend that you leave a note for the author of the Gadget at the page where you got it.
Was it here?

Inappropriate?I already did e-mail them - labpixies.com. I just thought I'd ask in case you already knew (it probably has something to do with the cookie they put on my computer ?? maybe.
Thanks for you time.

Inappropriate?Did you copy and the paste the code separately from the original embed code, or did you copy and paste one plugin from another?
-
Inappropriate?I've created two pages here and here with the LabPixies gadget, but I can't get either one to save the text of the note. Anytime I refresh the page, the "note" always resets to the initial state. You might want to try a different "notes" Gadget.

Inappropriate?I finally solved the problem of the note not losing all it's data. I had to accept cookies for LabPixies.
However, getting 2 "notes" on different pages apparently is not possible because they only use one cookie! -
Really? It sounds like they're storing the data in the cookie, which means your notes won't be available from any other computer (which isn't a problem as long as you only work from one computer). -
Inappropriate? That's true. I hadn't thought of that, that sounds like a problem. Maybe I'm going to have to give up on them afterall.
