how do I add a calendar to my free wiki
After reading Wikipedia for summer reading at the school where I teach, our school finally decided to start our own wiki. (Campbell Hall). Within that Wiki, I started a wiki for our Astronomy Club.
But I run an annual Physics Teachers' conference -- it was just yesterday, and the subject of a wiki came up (I brought it up). So last night, I started a Wiki for our Physics Teachers' group.
Is there a calendar plug-in for that (free) wiki so that we can start to chart all SoCal physics events?

Inappropriate?I'm a newbie and I haven't found a calendar plugin either, so I've started my own template site http://fbc-templates.pbwiki.com/ I've got two calendar versions here that can be highlighted, copied and pasted, then edited to suit. I've also found out that it's easier for me to go into source editing to paste links. The links are easier to place in source editing. Regular text editing in the wysiwyg editor is OK. I also use these pages to replace generally edited pages on my other wikis when they become too mangled to be of use.

Inappropriate?Thank you -- that's good to remember.
I found out that when I added a page, it came with an add-in button, and one of the possibilities is a calendar.

Inappropriate? We do indeed have a calendar plug in. Go into Edit mode, choose "Insert Plugin," hover over "Productivity" and click the "Calendar" link. You will see a blank green box on the edit page, but once you click save, the calendar will appear on the saved version of your page (which is also where you will do any editing)

this helped thanks...however, I was hoping I could see this calendar on my google calendars. I clicked on the gcal subscription and it puts the calendar under my google calendars, however it doesn't show any of the events in the calendar when I'm viewing it thru google... -
Inappropriate?I did all that, but now the only thing I have left is the calendar! and all previous entered information is GONE. eek!

Inappropriate?Hi,
I tried to add the Calendar plugin. What came up was a page with a little green box in the upper left corner labeled Calendar. The page covered most of my editing page. Underneath the green box it said, "This is what you will see in the editor until you save the page." Most of my Editing page (Including the Save button) is covered up by this page with the little green calendar box on it. I clicked on Save (what I could see of it) but nothing happened. There is probably some little thing I'm missing here. Can you advise? Thanks much. -
Inappropriate?I have been having the same exact problem as Rose...

Inappropriate?for anyone having calender issues are you using pbwiki 1.0 or 2.0?

Inappropriate?I inserted a calendar in pbwiki 1.0 and I didn't have the problem of it covering everything up.
However, it is too wide to fit in at the top of the page because of the side bar. -
Inappropriate?Sara,
Put this code on the page with the calendar (click 'Source' if you're using the WYSIWYG editor):
<raw escaped=0><style> #SideBar { display:none } </style></raw>
