How do I create an automatic list of all pages?
E.g. on my sidebar I'd like a list of all pages on my wiki, auto-generated, maybe sorted by alpha or even by tag or date?

The good news is this list already exists. At the bottom of your wiki you can click "Show all pages" to see an alpha-sorted list of all your wiki pages. You can also have it sort by date. There's not an easy way of putting this into your Sidebar, But I'm hoping this will help you out :) -
Inappropriate?Thanks Rachel. Yeah, I saw that but was opening there would be a set of wiki commands that I could use in the sidebar to change the presentation and remove a lot of the unneeded info.

Inappropriate?You can use the siteMap widget to do this. Click the 'Recent Activity' tab on the Widget wiki for an example, and visit our forums if you need any help installing or customizing the widget.

Inappropriate?whenever I try this, the script tags just get stripped out. All the instructions say are to put it "At the top of the side bar", but I'm not sure if I have to past in "source" mode, or use the plug-in for HTML or what.... any idea how to make it work?

Inappropriate?mdconrad: Script tags are, indeed, stripped out of V2 wikis. Also, they made such massive changes to V2.0's DOM that most things in Widget don't work anymore. Let me see if I can get this working in V2.0 for you.

thanks. A global nav style page listing is something that's really missing from our current wiki. It's a serious usability defficiency right now.

They're well aware of this shortcoming. They even have one built, but they won't release it to the users because a handful of really large wikis *might* use it, and it apparently doesn't work so well for wikis with a huge number of pages.

Inappropriate?on a related note, is there a way to customize the AllPages page?
I would want to add a link to the home page for example?
If not, I will also need to generate a list of all pages plus revision date, user, etc. thanks. all for 2.0.
