How do I edit the text within a page and not have it select the entire page of text for scaling or moving?
When I click on "edit page", then try to click on part of the text to edit, it selects the entire text on the page like an image where it has the border handles for scaling. Why does it do this and how do I just edit the text as it worked before?

Inappropriate? That is kind of weird. What internet browser are you using? And are you using the point-and-click editor?
I’m gathering clues to solve this!

Inappropriate?I'm using Internet Explorer 7 and I'm using the point and click editor. The thing is, I only have this problem with my frontpage. All the subsequent pages let me edit the text normally.

Inappropriate?I've encountered the same thing before.
It may be that your text is being treated as part of a table or other such component.
Try clicking on the text to bring up the box that you described, then clicking again after a couple of seconds. This should give you a cursor inside the text box that you can use to edit.

Inappropriate?Your quick fix worked. I'm not using any tables in that page though. Just links and a "recent changes" plugin. Is there a way to get it back to the default way where I won't have to click it and again after a couple seconds? Thank you for your help. And to Casey also.

Inappropriate?I'm glad the fix worked. We'll have to wait for someone more technical to answer your follow-up. I agree, it would be much easier to go back to the default way.
