Hi Heather,
A folder is a place where you can store wiki pages to organize them into categories. A sidebar is a multi-purpose section on your wiki. You can use it to create navigation or put information that you'd like to have appear on every wiki page. I personally like to use my sidebar for navigation purposes, but I've seen other users insert a clock or a special quote on the sidebar.

Inappropriate?Hello Heather,
Any of your users will be able to see both the sidebar and the folders of your wiki pages when they access your wiki. Are you having trouble with users not seeing both?

Inappropriate?I just wasn't sure of the difference between the purpose of the sidebars and the folders. If everyone can see both, what's the point of having sidebars? At the moment I have set up individual pages and linked them to folders, so currently the folders are of more importance, but I just wondered how I should be using the sidebar facility.
