How do stop people from changing the pages without them logging in (instead of getting "Someone unknown changed...)?

The current version of PBwiki has "wiki-wide passwords" called "Invite Keys" that you can use to let anyone edit. You can keep people from accessing your wiki in this way by setting these passwords to be unguessable (unknown to others than you) and then invite manually every user you want to have using the wiki. Then every user will be directly authenticated and logged.

Inappropriate? The way to add users manually is to click the "Settings" link, followed by the "Users" link under "Access Controls." You can then add your authorized users by email address.

Inappropriate?Another possibility is that people are using share links to get access to the wiki. Changing the invite key (wiki password) would mean people would have to type it in to the login form along with their name and email address.

Inappropriate? In the case Mike mentioned above, where the user has arrived via a 'share link' we prompt the user for their name and email during an edit but don't force them to enter one. In any case this is a temporary condition - we're busy making a much cooler, easier to understand mechanism which will cover all of these cases in a much more obvious way.
