Keeping students' email accounts hidden:
I am a new participant and i wish to keep my students' emails addrresses private or hidden. Is there a way for my students to edit wiki pages so that I know who has worked, but so their email addrresses are hidden from view of everyone but me?

Inappropriate?No, this is not possible. It has been requested in other threads, but I believe the CEO's response was "Why wouldn't you want to see who was changing your pages" (or something to that effect; I can't find the original thread, since GS has no useful search function).

Inappropriate?It's not that I don't want to see who is changing the pages, it is that I dont; want everyone to have access to their email addresses. One of the agreements I entered into with my parents, in order to have their email addresses, was that I would not share it with anyone. It would be great if students could edit the pages, have their names show with the changes, but not have their email addresses show to anyone but me (the administrator.)

Inappropriate?There's a thread here about using a single Gmail account to allow all of your students to log in with different addresses; I'm sure a helpful employee will find it and post a link real soon now.

It's something that is being heavily discussed right now, how to go about a login system that makes sense for educators and not have it be confusing because there are two separate login systems. Some ideas have been thrown around, but the more ideas we hear from users, the better.
