Limiting who edits my wiki
I just upgraded to 'premium' in order to limit who can edit pages on my wiki, and now I am unable to access this function. The reason I upgraded to premium was because I had read that I would be able to limit who can edit my wiki by upgrading to premium. Now I'm reading that I also have to buy the 'lock pages' feature as well. This is adding up to more than I can afford. Can you clarify?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Inappropriate?By upgrading to the Educational Premium Edition, you are able to control access. So you can assign any user to "read only" capabilities and they will not be able to edit any page.

Inappropriate? But can I do this without paying more?
-
Inappropriate? If you have a private wiki and have upgraded to any of the Educational Premium Packages (i.e. Silver, Gold, or Platinum), you have the ability to create users and assign permissions to them.
So yes, you should be able to do this without paying any more. -
Inappropriate?Would you mind directing me further? Where do I find this function on my wiki site?
Thx for your help! -
Inappropriate?Go to "Settings" and then "Users" and you can create users from that interface.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, when I tried that, I was directed to a page with no 'clickable' instructions. I wasn't able to add any users at that point.
I’m sad.

Inappropriate?Cathy,
Are you still having trouble? I'm having some trouble understanding what you mean by no clickable instructions.
Until you add other users to your wiki, they can't make any edits. Furthermore, once you have added people, each User on the Settings->User page should have a little drop-down menu beside them, where you can specify their access level.
