Searching with a wildcard?
Also, how does the pbwiki seach handle truncations (e.g. searching for testing while the title is test or tests, and getting those results).
Thanks for your time.

Inappropriate? Are you using V1 or V2? Is your wiki private or public?
-
Inappropriate?V2.
The wiki is private at the moment, but may be made public in the future. -
Inappropriate?Ok. Partial searches work in V2; you can search the Forum Demo Wiki for "cour", and it will find the font test page containing the word "courier".
If I search for "couriers", PBwiki's search will not find any matches (if I understood the question you asked).
PBwiki, like most sites, has a pretty primitive built-in search function. Public wikis get indexed by Google, and it's always the best way to find things. For example, I use Google exclusively to search Get Satisfaction for complex topics that were posted months ago. However, Google cannot index private wikis.
If you have more specific questions, perhaps the developers will chime in.

Inappropriate?I'm not sure if the developers have anything to say on this, but in terms of using Google, you can restrict a search to a specific site by typing:
search-term site:mywiki.pbwiki.com
It's pretty useful!

Thanks, Vu. I should have explained further in my post. -
Inappropriate?Thanks for the input guys.
I guess I didn't notice that the partial searches worked, me and my coworkers are just used to using the * wildcard. Thanks for pointing that out.
I use google for searching most of my sites, actually. Usually ends up being a lot faster. I'll spread the word for when we make the wiki public.
Thanks a lot!
I’m thankful
