Size information needed
I want to use the wiki for cover letter sharing and evaluation. In a previous wiki we found the available text space to be limiting. How many characters and spaces are allowed in each posting?

Inappropriate?Well, PBwiki is not a blog, so there are no "postings", per se, but pages instead. There is, apparently, a limit on the size of a page; I just created this test page, and it gives the message "Page too big to render - displaying source below". It's about 865KB of text. I have no idea what size you can get to before generating this message, and failure to render. Perhaps an engineer will grace us with a concrete answer.

Inappropriate?I'm not sure of the exact specs, but I just tried on a 2.0 wiki and I've gotten up to 850,000 characters without any error messages. I can't imagine most people wanting to put more than that on a single page (the more organized alternative would be to have multiple linked pages).

I don't get error messages, but I don't get a well-formed page, either. Perhaps a link to your page might help demonstrate PBwiki's robust handling of large pages? -
Inappropriate? Now that is interesting...I admittedly neglected to look at the bottom of the page when I was doing my quick test...I'm trying to go through the CSS and such but I can't figure out why exactly it's getting cut off...thoughts, Guy?

Inappropriate?Testing further, I've noticed that Opera handles it fine, and even in Firefox, it's as if the text is there but just not displayed. I can go through the motions of highlighting the blank space and paste it into a new window and the expected text shows up. Maybe a memory issue with FF caused by the layers of div's and the sheer amount of text?

Inappropriate? At least in my copy of Firefox (FF 2.0.0.14, Vista), I'm getting over 250,000 characters (40,000 words) before it does the weird bug. Some Google-fu reveals this bug may have to do with setting divs to 100% height in CSS, which would make it more of a FF bug than a PBwiki one.
Hopefully that limit should be okay for you? -
Yeah, this appears to be a FF-specific problem.
