Tracking changes, including page deletes
I am using my pbwiki as a class webpage. I need to be able to keep track of who makes what changes, because I want to be able to grade participation in the wiki, and also keep track of any vandalism.
So there are two problems, one right from the begining. If I invite my students by plugging their email into the invite screen, they get an email that has a link, the link asks them to create a password for their pbwiki account, and then they can add my wiki to their account. The problem is that, now instead of a name, like "Joe Smith", I see in my Users list an email like "jojowikity123@someemail.com".
The second problem is that, when I look at the history for a page, I usually see who edited it (but it seems like a page with one edit doesn't show it), but I can't see who deleted a page. Not too much of a problem since I don't have any students who have the ability to delete pages, but I might have some students become moderators, and then that's something that I'd need. It'd also be nice to see that I've deleted a page anyway, so that I could undelete it later.

Inappropriate?I should add that it'd be a really great feature if the 'recent activity' sidebar could also include who edited the pages, in addition to what pages have been edited.
-
Inappropriate?Sorry, but a deleted page can never be recovered. Ever. You can purchase some protection, but even then, if you give someone delete access, and a page gets deleted, then it's gone forever.

Inappropriate?Regarding the first problem: encourage your students to head over to my.pbwiki.com and login. From there, they can click on Profile and then enter their names. That should solve it for you.
For the second problem, I'll file this as a feature request for the recent activity sidebar. While I can't promise that it'll get resolved right away, we'll post here when we do deploy something to resolve this.

Inappropriate? It might also be useful to make regular backups, so if you DO delete a page, you can restore it manually from the backup.

Every page allows you to view its revision history, by clicking a link (in the upper right in PBwiki 2.0, down in the first column of the footer in PBwiki 1.0). You can also view the recent changes to the wiki by going to http://YOURWIKI.pbwiki.com/changes.php (YOURWIKI = the name of your wiki)
