What happened to my image?
When I insert an image (it's a gif) that I have already uploaded all I see is an empty box - and I have to click on it to see that much. Also, I'm pretty sure I had inserted an image before but now it has disappeared. what am I doing wrong?

I'm sorry you are having problems. Is this problem visible on a public page that you can give us a link to?
If your wiki is private, I can only recommend that you write us in support.
Please include your wiki's name and a brief description of the problem and the pages it is occuring on.

Inappropriate?Thanks. I had the problem on two different pages. On http://umasscsd.pbwiki.com/Purchase-R... there should be two links to gif files I uploaded. If you click underneath "Information you need for PRs" you will get a blue box for each of them. On http://umasscsd.pbwiki.com/Account-Nu... if you click below the text on the left you will also get a blue box. This was where the graphic actually appeared on the page instead of a link. When I go into edit mode I still don't see anything unless I click on that space and then I see the handles around an empty graphic box.

I just followed the links above to make sure they were right and I see my graphics on the pages. Now I'm really confused. Why didn't I see them before? New question. On one of the pages I don't want the graphic to show up, I want it to be a link. Do I need to put it on a page of it's own?

It looks like you have accidentally "collapsed" the size of those images. It must have happened if you tried to resize the image by using it's "grab bars" on the corners or sides of the image. You can see those when you click on the image.
Try removing them by clicking on them and hitting the delete key.
Then add them again by clicking on the links for those images in the Image toolbar on the right.
I grabbed copies of your two images and uploaded them to my test wiki. As you can see they appeared just fine. I did not try to resize them and I was able to see them just fine in editing mode.
