PBwiki Identities are now PBwiki Accounts.
Now that we've made PBwiki Identities an integral part of our service, we're changing their name to PBwiki Accounts. This reflects their increased importance, and better matches the Internet's common usage of the term "account".
You PBwiki Account provides a central point for you to manage logging in to wikis that you own or visit. Rather than having to remember the individual passwords to different wikis, your Account gives you one login to access any wikis where you're an authorized user.
For those of you who had already set up a PBwiki Identity, nothing has changed except for the name. For those you who hadn't, we hope PBwiki Accounts will save you time and make your experience smoother.
To eliminate the potential confusion between your PBwiki Account password and your wiki passwords, wiki passwords will now be called wiki invite keys.

Inappropriate?Fine, but what has happened -it appears - is that the old way of setting a key for each wiki and emailing that to the intended participants doesn't work. And it used to be so easy and quick to get people up and rolling. People I specifically invite via listing their emails cannot get in with the key I set up. They get an error message: Incorrect username or password", which makes me think they must first create a new global PBwiki account prior to enrolling in any particular wiki. So I can't just email the key to people, as it states on the Settings-Users page:
"Since user sign-on is a new feature, the traditional way of accessing wikis (with a shared wiki-wide invite key) is still available for the time being. We'll be adding additional options so you can have more control over who has access to your wiki.
This list doesn't include people who sign in using only the wiki invite key (such as those without a PBwiki account)."
The "traditional way" isn't working and I'm under a lot of time pressure to get this collaborative project going!
What am I doing wrong?

Inappropriate?Hi,
The best way to get things going is to get everyone to create a PBwiki Account, and then invite them to the wiki after they've created accounts. The very first time they visit that wiki, they will use the Invite Key, but afterwards, they'll only need to log into their account and they'll have automatic access to that wiki (and every other wiki they have rights to). In the long run, this method allows you much finer individual control, and less confusion if, say, somebody gets kicked off the project (old way: you'd have to change the password for everyone).
