What happened to the images and editing settings?

Some how in the process of moving a picture from a file to a page, I lost editing settings and all images on the wiki! I don't know what happened. One minute everything was fine and then when I right clicked to change the properties, ALL images disappeared! Any idea what it going on? Is it possible that I right clicked on the wrong thing that would have made this happen? I feel terrible it is a new wiki for a graduate class!
