Why can't I open a PDF in the browser window?
I used to be able to click on a PDF link on my wiki, and have it open in the browser. Now, my only option is to download it. Has PBwiki changed something? I'm using FF 2.0.0.12

Inappropriate?Yes. They changed something. You should contact support@pbwiki.com and ask them to fix it.
I’m confident they'll fix it straightaway

Inappropriate?Hey there, it's actually not a problem with PBwiki. It's likely a problem with with Firefox or the individual operating system. If the OS doesn't know about any programs installed that can view PDF files, Firefox won't know about that either. You may need to reinstall any software that views PDF.
Another user had this issue and was able to upgrade Firefox, which solved the problem. I hope this works for you too!

We have this problem where users try to open a PDF we've uploaded to the wiki and it causes a dialog box to open that says it's a PostScript file and offers Acrobat Distiller as the default file to open it. Using that just results in an error message. It's possible to browse through the dialog box to find the exe for Acrobat Reader, but a lot of users wouldn't know how to do that. The OS and FF obviously know which program to use to view PDFs because the exact same file opens fine from the hard drive or when posted to another Web site. So it must be something with PBwiki. Please get it fixed! -
Hey John, we're working on it. In the meantime, when the file downloads you can rename the file to remove the .ps and it'll open just fine.
