"Settings" Link -- The link to "settings" is missing. Here is the solution.
After making sure you are logged on with the administrator password, if the link is still missing, try resetting your administrator login password.
It worked for me the first time.
Thanks to Rachel & anyone else on the support staff who helped.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the feedback Mark, and for providing the solution to others who might have the same problem!
I’m happy when users help other users!
-
Inappropriate? Thanks for the tips, but this didn't work for me. I also tried to delete all pbwiki cookies, this forced to login again (so I deleted the right cookies, I guess), but same result, the "settings" links is still missing.
Any other idea?
I’m frustrated
-
You'll need to contact support, unfortunately. -
Inappropriate? Thanks, Guy. I actually did contact support, and they gave me the link to reset the admin invite key (not the admin login password, but the invite key), and log in with this new invite key, and this solved my problem.
Cool to see my problem solved, and support answering fast on a Sunday night (whoah!), but I still believe something doesn't work as it should in this overall login/invite system, which is really confusing... Oh well, my situation is unlocked, which is what I truly needed.
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?Hey Carpiopedia - just to clear up some common confusion - the admin password is the same thing as the admin invite key. When you need to reset this password, you need to use the "Lost the invite key?" link on the left side.
The link on the right side to reset the password is for users who have a PBwiki Account - this is not related to you wiki itself.
Glad we could help!

Inappropriate?Aaaahh... I get it now. Ok Rachel, thanks for the clarification. But IMHO, this really should be streamlined, solely based on a login mechanism (and no more invite keys!)... Will such login streamlining be an improvement in PBWiki 2.0 by any chance?
-
Unfortunately, passwords are real necessity for hundreds of active wikis that don't require the super-security of individual account logins. -
Inappropriate?Hi Carpiopedia - it is actually more streamlined in PBwiki 2.0 - the only way to access a wiki is by the wiki admin inviting people by adding their email address.
This however, causes problems when users don't have e-mail addresses. We're working on a good compromise of systems to make as many users happy as possible :) -
"This however, causes problems when users don't have e-mail addresses" -- or when wikis grant free public access, or when users require anonymity (Free Tibet, anyone?)
