Archiving our wiki into pbwebspace?
Hi we currently have a silver wiki at our university. It has been assessed by external moderators which means we need to keep hold of an easy-to-read version (giving external assessors the zipped backup will not be an option). We will be running the wiki again in the next semester with a new cohort of students. Is there anyway instead of exporting it - that it can be archived in web-space somewhere (putting it in a folder will not be appropriate because of the assessment element) and we can use a blank wiki - without having to set up a separate new wiki ?
All suggestions would be very welcome,
Thanks
Nicola

Inappropriate?Depending on how many pages you have Iterasi (https://www.iterasi.net/) might be an option. It archives individual pages for you, they're available on the web and can be made publicly accessible. I use it to archive my student's blogs. The down side is that it works one page at a time so if you have a large wiki or were hoping to have the entire site in one navigable package this might not work.
There is also a Firefox Add-on - ScrapBook (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...; I haven't used this one personally) that will allow you to archive an entire site, but it does this to a local machine so you'd have to figure out how to make it available to your assessors.
The only other thing that I can think of would be that PBworks is capable of cloning wikis (you just need to email support), so if your wiki was small enough to fit in a free account (or if you can afford to maintain the upgrades for multiple sites) you could have them clone it and then lock down editing so it just serves as an archive.
Good luck. Let us know if you figure something out.
I’m hoping this is helpful
