Can I add a folder inside another folder?

Please add me to the list as well, we are doing a wiki with 80 students and we want four groups so subfolders would be so helpful in organising things.

It would be very helpful to have the ability to have subfolders within my wiki. For instance if I had a single wiki for all of my courses, I can then create a folder for each course and then subfolders within each course's folder for units within that particular course.

Are there any updates on this?

I talked to PBWiki back in July and they said that sub-folders was in beta and would be live within weeks. But I just checked on my test account and I still can't make sub-folders. I don't know how this feature got left out of their initial architecture - it's such a basic and fudamental feature for organizing data. Anyhow, let's hope they keep their promise and add it. I can't see PBWiki being that useful until it has the ability to create sub-folders.

In case anyone is wondering, we will post a note on this thread if we do add the subfolder feature. I can't promise if or when we'll add it.

It would be really nice to have this. I'm considering recommending this to our consulting company. We have many clients, and many projects for those clients.

So if I create a folder for each client, and a subfolder for each project for that client, I can set security up so the client can see there projects and any new ones that get added and keep them from seeing other clients work, etc.

Without subfolders, this is a show-stopper.

You can still do that with our current folder setup. You can create as many folders with custom security as you wish. Only those who have access can see them.

No I don't think I can do what I want using your current Folder feature. I want folder heirarchy - a tree - not a single level. For example:

- Company A
- - Project 1
- - Project 2
- - Project 3
- Company B
- - Project x
- - Project y
- - Project z

Get it now?

I can't believe they have not added this feature yet! I have been waiting for it for a long time now. It's such a basic feature - i don't know how they designed the whole application without providing the ability for sub-folders. It's a basic organizational feature. Hopefully they will add it soon.
