Inappropriate?One possible way of creating columns is to create a table with two cells beside each other, and vertically-align them both to "top."

Inappropriate?I was hoping to format a page with columns like a word processing program. Your reply seems to imply that my hopes are not possible. My page had a long list of checklists which already included tables and I wanted to break up the page and save scrolling. Your solution would put tables within tables if that is possible.

Inappropriate?Nested tables ARE possible, and aren't that bad as long as you're not nesting too many levels.
