Does "private" guarantee web crawlers are banned?
Can you assure me our private wiki won't be harvested by web crawlers (eg Google)?
I had an incident recently when a photo website got sucked up into Google and all its private customers appeared in Google... Will you guarantee that marking a wiki private stops this happening?

Inappropriate?Yes! Not only do we set robots.txt don't crawl settings and put in-page tags that indicate the content should not be redistributed, but the most important bit is that without invited permission, NOBODY (including crawlers) have permission to view your site.

That's great, thanks.
What I learned from my previous problem with the photo website was that even though they had password-protected the pages, Google still sucked up enough information to be unhelpful. So your response sounds great. -
Inappropriate?Hi AnonyMouse- I can absolutely guarantee that private wikis are indeed private. If you would like more information, you can read our whitepaper on wiki security:
