Exporting from pbwiki
How do I export my wiki course site? I may need to move my course from this wiki for the next semester. I don't want to lose all my pages and linked files.

Inappropriate? You can't "export" it, per se. The admin can create a .zip backup of the current revision of all the pages, but they're not "full" HTML pages, just the user-editable portion of each page. In addition, neither comments nor uploaded files are included in the backup. You can manually download all the files, but the links in the pages in the .zip backup will not work. There is no way to export or backup the comments.
I’m hoping this gets fixed soon.

Inappropriate?I'd think this is easy to fix, but for some reason seems not to be too important to pbwiki. You can "suck down" all your files using a browser plugin like downthemall. You can also *MANUALLY* replace the bakcup html to use absolute instead of relative references to items on your wiki or refer to a local copy.

Inappropriate? How would you want to export your course? Would you want to move the entirety of your wiki to another wiki, or just part of it? Do you want to move it to someplace else like a website? Or would you just want a copy of it in, say, PDF form to share with others offline?
*Right now* we don't have any spectacular solutions for you. The solutions offered by Guy Fawkes and sraymond are your best bet for the cases they apply to, but I'm curious to know what precisely you want to do with your wiki, and see if we can't come up with a more specific solution. -
Inappropriate?I'm looking for the same thing as Lee. I want a PDF copy of one of the pages to share with others offline. Can you suggest a specific solution for this case?

Inappropriate?Hi Lisa- are you using PBwiki 1.0 or 2.0? If you're using 1.0 you'll have the option to save a page as a PDF at the bottom of your screen.

Inappropriate?I'm using 2.0. Is this an old feature?
-
Inappropriate?Hi Lisa,
It is a 1.0 feature. We're waiting to release it in 2.0 until we have some kinks worked out - we want to make it super awesome. -
Inappropriate?Great! In the meantime I can use the "printable version". Thanks.
