I was chasing down a PbWiki forum but I see this is the current format. When I do a search on google index I don't get any results. So, the question is, how long (apx) does it take for google to index a new wiki? For WordPress, it only takes a couple of days...i have no idea what version of pbwiki I am in...

I'm sorry but I can't give you an exact time for when you'll be listed in Google. I do have a few tips to help you attract more attention if that's what you'd like.
Suggestions:
For a local one time event, you would be much better off advertising in local media such as the radio or newspaper. If you need to push it out for free, you can try emailing everyone local you know with a link to your page. Ask them to forward it to everyone else local that they know.
For information websites with always current info. This is very complex and people make a living by telling you how to do this. There are some free things you can do though.

Register yourself at internet forums that are similar in topic to your website. Make sure to post often in them and leave your website link in your signature.
