How can I set the page width so my wiki looks good from my bosses teeny scree?
I saw an earlier reference to this question but there was no answer. I want to set the page width so that my wiki is viewable from other screens. I have a nice wde screen and I walked into look at the wiki I am working on from my bosses computer and it looked awful. Ther MUST be a way to fix this.
BTW - I was able to center my table on the page pretty easily even though the "center" tool no longer works (saw an earlier feed about this but there was no answer). Here is how:
<center>
<table></center>
I do have everything set-up inside a center table - so I can fix that width I suppose.
Thank.
Tara

Inappropriate? Can you tell me what resolution your boss's computer screen is set to? You may need to change that setting to view the wiki properly.
-
Inappropriate?Which version of PBwiki are you using? If tables are looking bad, then when you set their sizes, you probably need to use percentages instead of absolute (pixel-based) widths.
You can usually just resize your window to test what PBwiki looks like in different resolutions.

Inappropriate?I set the table width to a fixed size using pixels - which actually worked better than %. Not ideal because I must now go in and change table size on all the pages I have already set-up. I used a background border image with a centered table to give it the look I wanted.
How can I change the marging of the sidebar? I have tried and tried. I want to move it in from the right side.
Changing the setting on my bosse's screen is not a good solution because I want to make sure it will look good on everyone's computer without changing their screen.
Overall I am finding customizing our wiki (we have a full subscription / business wiki) not very easy. It has been mostly frustrating and complicated and has taken alot of googling to find obscure references to coding "fixes".
I’m disallusioned

Inappropriate?CSS customization is powerful, but not for the faint of heart. That was part of the reason why CSS customization was downplayed in 2.0 and we opted for a more standardized look. I assume you are using PBwiki 1.0 since you are trying to do customizations of this sort. Since these changes are typically wiki-specific, can you email me at vu.nguyen[at]pbwiki[dot]com telling me the name of your wiki and attaching your wiki.css file? I'll personally take a look into your issues. Thanks!

Inappropriate? Thanks, I will. Most of the changes I have been doing I have been doing in te source code on te sidebar - as I really am out of my league in the CSS world. I am sure what I have done will give you nigtmares.
I’m thankful
