Illegal characters in wiki backup filenames under windows.
Our wiki has a page:
Genuine errors: ‘Payments’ that are not unauthorised payments - HMRC
Winzip complains about the : and the ''s.
Actually if you unzip all you get:
Genuine errors_ GÇÿPaymentsGÇÖ that are not unauthorised payments - HMRC.html
Nice :-)

Inappropriate?Hi Jac,
Would you care to report this in our support system? Just use the "Help" link at the top of the page. I'd be interested in seeing this one myself.
I just downloaded one of my wiki backups. I don't use WinZip,but Windows default unzipper worked just fine with no complaints.
Try right clicking on the zip file and choosing "Extract All" (Windows default utility). I think WinZip may not overwrite that menu choice.
There's also the chance that the file was corrupted. Have you tried to download it again?

Inappropriate?I run into this all the time..
you also run into trouble because you can have a lower case and upper case page in the same directory and the filesystem isn't case sensative. -
Inappropriate?Hi Tim,
Upper and lower case. Hmm, I can understand that now that you mention it. I've never seen it myself because I never use variations of the same name for a page. I'm sure you can't control that in a large wiki.
I wonder if I should write Bill Gates and tell him to start supporting character case in his file system? (just kidding)
I'll check to see if anyone else has reported that issue. If not, I'll add it. I'm not sure how we'd work around it though. What do you do when this happens?

Inappropriate?Clif, will report it.
In my poorly penned example, I found it was a : (colon) and quotes in the name, that caused the problem but I can see the problem with casing as well.
JAC.
