Overfull Folders wrecking Nav-Bar. Solution?
Can the folder displayed in the right panel be "collapsed?" This is in 2.0, by the way. Folders that have a large number of pages filed in them mess up the aesthetics of the page design. The folders are a really cool feature, but unless we can nest folders or control how it displays the files in the nav bar area, it look like it will get out of hand pretty fast.

Inappropriate?Hi Marc,
Thanks for reporting this. I personally have never added many pages to a folder so I haven't seen this.
If you have a public wiki, can you refer us to it and tell us the folder(s) that look odd?
If it's private, you may want to contact support by using the help link in the wiki. -
Inappropriate?Yeah, it's a pretty awkward problem, so we have it filed as ticket #535. Thanks!

Inappropriate?Just wondering what the status is on this? Is there a way that we could at least move the Sidebar above the "Pages in Folder" panel?
-
Inappropriate?Hi Carlos,
You can click and drag many of the Side Panel components to display in any order you wish. Does that help?
-
Inappropriate?Dragging the side panel components is nice, but it doesn't really solve the problem. I have folders with over a hundred pages in them, and when you go to one of those pages, it really looks awful. You have the page itself, and then this long extended tail as the side bar extends many times the length of the page, completely blowing the design. Really would like to see this fixed.
I’m still sad.

Inappropriate?Clif,
You can drag every panel except for this one. Even if the user could hide it would be great. It's that panel that says "In Folder:FOLDERNAME" and has the options to edit tags and security. When you have a hundred pages, the user literally has to scroll down a couple seconds before reaching the Side Panel or comments section. I don't have 100 pages yet, but I'll get there soon I think...

Inappropriate? Thanks for clarifying Carlos. I checked and that feature has been assigned to be worked on. I can't give you any timeline.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Here's a work-around. It may only work with the Custom CSS feature in Premium wikis.
Be advised, I can't support any problems caused by making changes to CSS. I recommend CSS changes only for those who understand what they are doing. I'll often offer advice, but I'm no expert in this field.
